Over 50,000 Property Registrations Completed So Far
Chandigarh, December 18
Haryana’s move toward a fully paperless land registration system has reached a major milestone, with more than 50,000 property registrations completed under the state’s new digital framework, officials said on Thursday. The initiative, designed to overhaul six decades of conventional revenue practices, will soon be reinforced through security-embedded paper and an auto-mutation facility to ensure greater transparency and efficiency.
Financial Commissioner for Revenue and Disaster Management Dr. Sumita Misra, who paid a surprise visit to the Panchkula Tehsil office, said the new security-integrated paper would enhance the authenticity of records and safeguard against forgery. The upcoming auto-mutation feature will automatically update ownership details in revenue records immediately after registration—reducing delays and curbing manual intervention.
After reviewing the system’s on-ground functioning, Dr. Misra expressed satisfaction with the operations and commended the officials for their smooth implementation of digital reforms. She directed revenue officers to provide e-signed copies of registered documents on the spot, if requested by applicants, to save them from repeated visits.
Dr. Misra also instructed Deputy Commissioners to ensure that dedicated help desks established in tehsil offices record citizen feedback and promptly address grievances. “Public feedback will be systematically reviewed and used to refine service delivery,” she said.
AgriStack Training Gains Statewide Momentum
During the inspection, Dr. Misra also reviewed the AgriStack training session underway at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Panchkula. She interacted with trainees and reviewed digital modules being introduced across all districts.
Haryana aims to register 1.38 crore farmers under the Farmer Registry (AgriStack) through OTP-based Aadhaar verification, linking the data directly with schemes such as PM-KISAN and other farmer-centric initiatives. Stressing the importance of meeting registration deadlines, Dr. Misra said the drive would be carried out on a “war footing” as part of the Prime Minister’s vision of technology-driven governance.
“Proper implementation of AgriStack will greatly benefit farmers through accurate data, efficient service delivery, and improved policy planning,” she said.
The Financial Commissioner noted that such inspections ensure that digital and administrative reforms are not confined to policy papers but yield tangible benefits for citizens—underscoring Haryana’s commitment to transparent, citizen-focused governance.
