A deeply devotional atmosphere prevailed at Shri Vishweshwar Mahadev Temple (founded by Harnam Das Lakkhi Ram) located in North Estate, in preparation for the installation of Shivling and Nandi Ji’s idol on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri on February 15. On this holy occasion, special seven-day worship and rituals are being continuously performed in the temple premises from February 9 to February 15.
On Tuesday, February 10, during the special worship organized, Advocate Naveen Singla, President of North India Boxing Association, and his wife Smt. Sonia were present as chief yajmans. Both performed the worship and rituals of Lord Shiva with full devotion, following proper rites, customs, and Vedic chants.
This worship was conducted as per Vedic rites by learned Brahmins such as Shri Govind Bhardwaj Purohit, Devraj Ji, Sunil Ji, Dhruv Ji, Vijendra Ji, Rajesh Ji, Bharat Bhushan Ji. During the worship, the entire temple premises echoed with chants of “Har Har Mahadev.”
On this occasion, advocate Naveen Singla said, “The installation of the Shivling and Nandi Ji at Shri Vishweshwar Mahadev Temple is a matter of great fortune and pride for all of us. With Lord Shiva’s blessings, this temple will become a center of faith, peace, and positive energy in the area.”
He further said that on Mahashivratri, February 15, the Pran Pratishtha of the Shivling and Nandi Ji, along with Havan-Yagya, will be organized. He urged maximum devotees to seek the blessings of Lord Bholenath on Mahashivratri. It is noteworthy that this seven-day worship program began on February 9 and will continue until February 15, with a large number of devotees attending the temple each day. The temple committee and organizers have completed all preparations for the program.
