The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has finalized all arrangements for conducting the PCS (Executive Branch) Main Examination from April 1 to April 10.
Providing details, Secretary Charanjit Singh said that under the leadership of Chairman Vinayak Saini, all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the examination is conducted in a smooth, transparent, and fair manner. A total of 12 examination centres have been established in Patiala.
He further stated that the examination will be held in the afternoon session each day, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. To maintain strict monitoring and transparency, senior IAS and PCS officers have been deployed as observers at each centre.
Elaborating on the arrangements, Charanjit Singh said that biometric verification systems have been installed at every centre to ensure proper identification of candidates. Additionally, jammers have been installed to prevent the use of any electronic devices during the examination.
The Secretary added that Patiala Police has made comprehensive security arrangements and ensured proper traffic management in the city for the smooth conduct of the examination. He further informed that approximately 4,200 candidates, who have qualified the preliminary examination, will appear in the main examination for filling 331 posts, including PCS (Executive Branch) and allied services in various departments of the Punjab Government.
