With the objective of spreading the message of the supreme sacrifice made by the four Sahibzadas (sons) of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji to every citizen, the Haryana government organized a Sand Art Show and a district-level essay writing competition.
As part of this initiative, on Wednesday, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, artists from NSB Production presented a grand Sand Art Show in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School, Matana.
Through this show, they vividly depicted on screen the martyrdom of the four Sahibzadas.On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, the event was jointly organized under the aegis of the Department of Education and the Department of Art and Cultural Affairs, Haryana.
The program aimed to acquaint students with the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.On this occasion, NSB Production artists Manisha Swarnkar and Rajesh Joshi’s team presented, through sand art, the historical episodes of bravery, sacrifice, and devotion of Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh, and Sahibzada Fateh Singh in a very impactful manner.
In the Sand Art Show, NSB artist Manisha Swarnkar brought to life, through sand art, the important events related to the lives of the four Sahibzadas of the Tenth Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. These included the establishment of the Khalsa Panth, the struggles with the Mughal rulers, the battles fought on December 20 and 21, 1704, Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s departure from the fort of Shri Anandpur Sahib, the separation of the family at the River Sarsa, and the poignant depiction of the arrest of Mata Gujri and the younger Sahibzadas.
In addition, an essay writing competition on the theme of Veer Bal Diwas was also organized in Hindi, English, Punjabi, and Sanskrit languages, in which students participated with great enthusiasm.
