Navkar Mahamantra Maha Jaap Concludes at Punjab Lok Bhavan

Governor Kataria Calls It a Mantra of Virtues

Chandigarh, January 4:
A grand Maha Jaap of the Navkar Mahamantra concluded at Punjab Lok Bhavan with prayers for world peace, human welfare, and universal harmony. The event, organized during the two-day visit of Shraman Sanghiya Advisor Dinesh Muni, was marked by the collective chanting of the Navkar Mahamantra by devotees and dignitaries.

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria, along with his wife Anita Kataria and family members, participated in the recitation. The rhythmic chanting illuminated the hall with spiritual energy, creating an atmosphere of serenity, discipline, and meditative devotion.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Kataria said the Navkar Mahamantra is not a hymn of praise for any individual or incarnation but a worship of virtues—paying reverence to the Panch Parmeshthis: Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyaya, and Sadhu. He described it as a bridge of interfaith harmony, emphasizing that the mantra transcends religious boundaries and guides individuals toward compassion, self-restraint, and wisdom.

Delivering a spiritual discourse, Shraman Sanghiya Advisor Dinesh Muni described the Navkar Mahamantra as beginningless, infinite, and supreme. He said that chanting it with devotion generates positive energy, mental peace, and inner strength, while leading the soul towards liberation. “It is Sarva Mangalam Mangalayam—the most auspicious of all,” he remarked.

As the resonant chant of “Namo Arihantanam…” reverberated through the hall, the Maha Jaap concluded with a collective pledge for world peace, environmental protection, human welfare, and the promotion of non-violence.
