The court of the Hon’ble Judge, Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fast Track Special Court), Amritsar, in case number 106/2022 under Police Station Verka Amritsar, sections 377 IPC and 6 POCSO Act, has sentenced the accused Raja son of Jaspal Singh, resident of Preet Nagar, Verka, Amritsar, to 20 years imprisonment and a fine of ₹40,000 for the charge of raping a 5-year-old child. The court stated that the accused, who was a neighbor, entered the complainant’s house in the absence of the child’s parents and sexually assaulted the minor.
