Mansa Police Seizes 9 Grams Heroin in ‘War Against Drugs’ Drive

In a continued crackdown under Punjab government’s ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign to make the state drug-free, Mansa Police registered three cases and apprehended three individuals, recovering 09 grams of heroin.

Sharing this information here today, the SSP Bhagirath Singh Meena, IPS said that the operation was carried out as per directions from Director General of Police Punjab Gaurav Yadav, IPS, and under the leadership of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bathinda Range Harjeet Singh, IPS.

SSP Meena detailed the actions: CIA staff at Sadulgarh Police Station recovered 09 grams of heroin from Nikka Singh s/o Darshan Singh r/o Mankhera during a patrol, leading to FIR No. 29 dated 04.02.26 u/s 21 NDPS Act and further investigation is underway. Sadar Mansa Police Station team apprehended Gurpreet Singh s/o Bikkar Singh r/o Khiala Kalan during patrol; his dope test came positive, resulting in FIR No. 33 dated 04.02.26 u/s 27 NDPS Act and investigation is ongoing. Budhlada Police Station team nabbed Gurmeet Singh s/o Ram Singh r/o Kishangarh Sedha Singh Wala during patrol; his dope test was positive, prompting FIR No. 20 dated 04.02.26 u/s 27 NDPS Act, with probe in progress.
