Haryana Industrial Policy–2026 Will Prove to be Milestone for Textile Industry: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Special focus on textile industry issues during the third session of interaction with industrialists

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the textile industry is one of the oldest industries in the country and is closely connected with the common people.

Districts such as Panipat and Faridabad in Haryana are among the highest exporters in the country. At present, this industry needs support, and the new Haryana Industrial Policy 2026 will prove to be a milestone for the state’s textile sector. Saini said this while interacting with textile exporters from the state at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi on Wednesday.

During discussions on the draft Haryana Industrial Policy 2026, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has been meeting representatives of major industrial units and groups with recognition at the state, national, and global levels. He specifically allocated separate time to interact with heads of textile industry units from the state. Key challenges being faced by the textile sector were discussed in detail. It was noted that the issues of this industry are distinct in nature. The Chief Minister directed officials to prepare a separate report on the difficulties being faced by industrialists from Panipat, Sonipat, Faridabad, Hisar and other districts associated with the textile sector.

In the evening session, more than 15 leading industrialists participated. Among them, Rajiv Nath, Managing Director of Hindustan Syringes & Medical Devices, shared suggestions regarding challenges in the pharma sector and the new policy. The Chief Minister assured that the Haryana Government would fully support the company in expanding its future operations within the state.

During the meeting, Kensei Nozu, Executive Director of Air Water India, requested land and facilities to set up a medical oxygen and water plant worth over ₹200 crore in either Rohtak or Bawal. The Chief Minister directed that the company be provided land and necessary facilities at a suitable location.

Anuj Aggarwal, Chief Economist of Welspun India, also expressed interest in expanding the company’s operations in Haryana, including projects such as a data center. Ankit Sangwan, CGM of Gautam Solar and a native of Hisar, expressed intent to establish a new unit in the state, stating that the company plans multiple expansion projects related to solar and allied industries by 2028. The Chief Minister instructed HSIIDC officials to coordinate with the company and facilitate the project.

Discussions on the draft Haryana Industrial Policy 2026 were also held with Tapan Rishi Bhatnagar, COO of SAB FFVO; Prem Kumar Bajanka, Managing Director of Century Plyboards (Star Cement); Nitin Vyas, MD India and CEO Cluster Asia of Beumer India; Hemant Bhartaram, MD of DCM Nouvelle; S.V. Goyal, CEO & Director of Model Economic Township Limited; and Harish Ahuja, MD of Shahi Exports and their suggestions were invited.

PWD, Forest and Environment Minister Sh. Rao Narbir Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner & Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Director General, Industries. Yash Garg, along with other senior officers, were present in the meeting.
