Petrol, Diesel Prices Increase By Rs 3, CNG Up By Rs 2

Delhi, May 15

The Government of India has hiked prices of fuel including petrol, diesel and CNG in the retail sector. While price of diesel and petrol have been increased by Rs 3 per liter and with it the petrol now stands at Rs 97.77 per liter in north India, while diesel is priced at Rs 90.67 per liter.

The CNG price in Delhi has been increased by Rs 2 per kg — from Rs 77.09 per kg to Rs 79.09 per kg. CNG price was also raised in Mumbai by Rs 2 per kg. It will now cost Rs 84 per kg across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed the nation urging the people to conserve fuel, prefer work from home if possible and refrain from buying gold.

It is pertinent to mention here that now the economy will register inflation, which is expected to be steep by the month of October. Last week prices of milk and its products have been increased.
