India Achieved Historic Progress in Development, Security and Cultural Revival Under PM Modi: Krishan Lal Panwar

Sonipat, June 12

Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar on Friday said that India has achieved historic milestones in development, national security, self-reliance and cultural revival under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 12 years.

Addressing a media interaction programme organised at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, as part of a public awareness campaign marking 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government, Panwar highlighted the achievements of the Centre in various sectors. He said that when Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014, he had pledged to strengthen economic development, national security and cultural pride. According to the minister, the country has witnessed significant progress in all these areas during the past 12 years.

Panwar said that India, which ranked 11th among the world’s economies in 2014, has now become the fourth-largest economy globally and is moving towards securing the third position. He attributed the achievement to Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, strong economic policies and the support of the people. Referring to the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the minister said the project fulfilled a long-standing aspiration of millions of devotees and symbolised India’s cultural consciousness and faith. He said Ayodhya has emerged as a major centre of devotion for people from across the world.

The minister also termed the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir a historic and courageous decision. He said the move strengthened the spirit of “One Constitution, One Emblem and One Law” in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Highlighting developments in the defence sector, Panwar said India has reduced its dependence on foreign countries for defence requirements through the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. He added that the country is becoming self-reliant in defence manufacturing and military technology, while exports of domestically produced defence equipment are steadily increasing.

The minister further said that welfare schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Digital India have positively impacted the lives of millions of people. He said efforts are being made to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the last person in society. Panwar said the Centre and State Governments are working together towards the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047 and expressed confidence that India will further strengthen its position among the leading nations of the world in the coming years.

Kharkhoda MLA Pawan Kharkhoda, senior BJP leader Pradeep Sangwan, BJP Gohana district president Bijender Malik, BJP Sonipat district president Ashok Bhardwaj and several other dignitaries were present at the programme.
