Two Killed 16 Injured As Tourist Bus Rams Into Truck at Mahendragarh

Bus Was Returning from Manali to Jaipur, Rammed Into Truck on NH-152D; Several Injured in Critical Condition

Mahendragarh, Jun 12

Two people – including driver and conductor of a tourist Volvo bus – were killed and 16 injured in an accident in Haryana’s Mahendragarh area on Friday morning. The bus carrying 40 tourist passengers rammed into a truck loaded with iron bars. The impact was so severe that the iron rods tore through the front portion of the bus, killing the driver and conductor on the spot and leaving 16 others seriously injured.

The accident occurred near the Buchawas Cut on National Highway 152-D. The truck was standing on the roadside when the bus rammed into . The bnus rammed into rear end of the truck. The injured were shifted to Mahendragarh Civil Hospital, where several have been admitted to the Critical Care Unit. At least 11 of the 16 injured were reported to be in serious condition on Friday morning.

The bus was returning from Manali to Jaipur, and most of the passengers were residents of Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan. The deceased have been identified as driver Somveer and conductor Dilkhush, both residents of Jaipur. Among the injured are Nalin Jain, Prateek, Surendra, Subhash Chandra, Ashish, Yashasvi, Wasim Akhtar, Abhimanyu, Ashutosh, Avinash, Gaurav, Priyanka, and Prachi from Jaipur, along with Sohan from Chandigarh, Rohit from Dausa (Rajasthan), and Khushi from Paonta Sahib.
