Chandigarh, Jan 10
The Chandigarh Election Department has urged residents to extend full cooperation to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Supervisors engaged in the ongoing elector mapping exercise, being carried out under the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Officials observed during a recent meeting with BLOs and Supervisors that public awareness about the mapping process remains low, resulting in hesitation among citizens to share information. The department clarified that this exercise is purely administrative and aims to match and verify the Electoral Data of 2025 with the Electoral Records of 2002 to ensure accuracy, transparency, and integrity in the electoral rolls.
