Himachal To Have Spl Instructors For English and Maths: CM Sukhu

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the state government will soon recruit special instructors for English and Mathematics in government schools being brought under the CBSE curriculum. He said this initiative is part of major reforms in the state’s education policy.

“Special instructors will be appointed for English and Mathematics in CBSE schools soon,” said Chief Minister Sukhu.

Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the Gugga Dham and park, built at a cost of around ₹60 lakh in his ancestral village Bhawran under Amlehar Gram Panchayat, the Chief Minister said the Amlehar school has been granted CBSE status. He added that the Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School project was progressing rapidly and classes would commence there next year.

CM Sukhu further announced that multiple subjects will be introduced in four selected schools, including Amlehar, enabling students to pursue subjects of their interest.

Appealing farmers to adopt natural farming methods, the Chief Minister said that the government is offering high prices for crops grown through natural techniques.

“Farmers can earn up to ₹3 lakh by cultivating turmeric on five kanals of land under natural farming,” he said.

The government is currently procuring naturally grown turmeric at ₹90 per kg to promote eco-friendly agriculture across the state.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the state’s solar energy initiatives, stating that subsidies are being provided for installing solar plants on barren lands.“Youth can earn a profit of about ₹3 lakh annually by setting up solar plants on four kanals,” Sukhu said.

Highlighting infrastructure development, CM Sukhu said that ₹100 crore is being spent on various drinking water schemes in the Nadaun Assembly constituency. To ensure safe water supply, the government is using advanced UV technology and the ozonation process, replacing bleaching powder for purification.

During the occasion, Panchayat Pradhan Sonia Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister and shared details of ongoing developmental works in the region.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Shri Vaikunth Dham and park, constructed at a cost of about ₹25 lakh in Pakhrol village of Gauna Gram Panchayat. He also listened to the grievances of local residents.In Nadaun town, CM Sukhu unveiled the statue and memorial of freedom fighter Inderpal at Inderpal Chowk, recently renovated and beautified by the Municipal Corporation

The event was attended by MLA Sujanpur Captain Ranjit Singh, former MLA Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Chairman of Kangra Co-Operative Primary Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ram Chandra Pathania, Vice Chairman of OBC Finance and Development Corporation Dr. Mohan Lal, Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh, Superintendent of Police Balbir Singh, Chairman of APMC Ajay Sharma, Block Congress President Captain Prithi Chand, Chairman of Nadaun Municipal Council Shammi Soni, along with other Panchayat representatives and dignitaries.
