What is the History of the Temple

The temple priest BP Sharma said that a war was going on between Lord Ram and Lanka’s king Ravana. After the war continued for many days, when Ravana’s army appeared weak before Lord Ram’s monkey army, Ravana’s son Meghnad shot a Shakti Ban on Lakshman, due to whose effect he became unconscious.

On the advice of the vaidya, Hanuman Ji set out from the Himalayas to fetch Sanjeevani Booti for Lakshman’s treatment.

While going through the sky, Hanuman Ji’s gaze fell on a Yaksha Rishi who was meditating on Jakhu mountain. To rest on the way and inquire about the Sanjeevani Booti, Hanuman Ji landed at this very place. After getting information about Sanjeevani from the Yaksha Rishi, Hanuman Ji promised to meet him again. It was here that he was told which mountain the Sanjeevani Booti would be found on.
