Two Girls Among Top Three Rank Holders

Harleen Sharma from Saraswati School Jaito in district Faridkot of Punjab has topped the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) class 10th result declared today. She has secured 99.38 percent marks (646 out of 650). Manimahesh Sharma from Govt Senior Secondary School, Chanouli Bassi (Rupnagar) and Riya Rani from Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Hoshiarpur has secured second and third with same 99.23 percent.
Total 272 students have been placed in the merit list of which 220 are girls. The official spokesperson of PSEB said that the overall pass percentage of board was 94.52 percent where 254744 students passed the exams of the total 269505 students who appeared for the exam.
Girls stole the show with pass percentage of 95.96%, while pass percentage of boys remained 93.23%. Six transgender students appeared for the exam and all have passed. Rural area pass percentage remained high at 95.35%, while that of urban area was 92.98%.
