Farmers are being made aware about adopting other subsidiary businesses to strengthen their financial condition.
All agriculture related departments are organizing farmer awareness camps in villages.

Rohtak, May 19

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta stated that the district administration Rohtak has selected the village of Marodhi as a model village. To increase farmers’ income, agriculture-related departments are educating them about adopting other subsidiary businesses. The district administration’s goal is to encourage farmers to adopt subsidiary businesses so they can become financially strong.


Sachin Gupta has said that the Horticulture Department is also organizing farmer awareness camps in villages to encourage farmers to adopt horticultural crops. So far, 18 such awareness camps have been organized by the department. The Horticulture Department is continuously making farmers aware about adopting horticultural crops. These farmer awareness camps will continue so that more and more farmers can be encouraged to adopt horticultural crops and their income can be increased. Along with giving information to the farmers about the schemes being implemented by the government, they are also being made aware about planting new orchards in the months of July-August.


Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has said that during the campaign being run to increase the income of farmers, till now farmer awareness camps have been organized by the Horticulture Department in 18 villages of the district. Farmers have been encouraged to adopt horticultural crops by organizing farmer awareness camps in villages Sunaria, Khidwali, Bahu Akbarpur of Rohtak block, villages Madina Gindharan, Kishangarh, Ajaib, Nindaana of Meham block, villages Jindharan, Basana, Madaudi Jatan and Madaudi Ragdan of Kalanaur block and villages Atyal, Ismaila, Naunand, Kharawar of Sampla block and villages Titauli, Indragarh and Chidi of Lakhanmajra block.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the government is implementing numerous schemes for horticultural farmers. Provisions have been made to provide various types of subsidies to farmers for planting new orchards. For planting new guava, plum, lemon, and kinnow orchards, the government provides a subsidy of ₹25,200 per acre in the first year, and ₹16,800 for maintenance in the second year.

District Horticulture Officer Dr. Madanlal said that as per the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, the department organizes farmer awareness camps. In these camps, department officials reach out to farmers and make them aware about horticultural crops and provide information about welfare schemes run by the government. The department’s aim is to encourage more farmers to adopt horticultural crops so that their income can increase and they can become financially strong. He said that the department organized another farmer awareness camp in Madaudi village on Tuesday and farmers are also being made aware to plant new orchards in the coming months of July-August.
