Rs 50 Lakh Announced for Day-Night Matches at Beetan Ground
Grand Conclusion of Big Cosco Cricket Cup 2026

The 11th Big Cosco Cricket Cup 2026, organized in Beetan village of Haroli area in memory of the martyrs concluded.
In the closing ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri participated as the chief guest and made important announcements regarding the expansion of sports facilities and regional development.
In his address, he said that the state government is committed to advancing youth through sports. Rs 1.58 crore has been spent on the development works of Beetan ground. He announced to equip the ground with modern facilities and declared to provide Rs 50 lakh for organizing day-night matches. High mast lights will be installed in the ground with this amount, enabling night matches here in the future.
He said that just as an ultra-modern lighting system has been installed at a cost of about Rs 50 lakh in Khadd Football Ground, Beetan ground will also be developed on the same lines.
The Deputy Chief Minister also announced the construction of a pucca road up to Beetan ground, so that players and spectators can get better access facilities.Rs 2 Crore for Pond, Rs 1.14 Crore for Panchayat Bhawan Construction
Rs 1 Lakh Announced for Club
He informed that Rs 2 crore has been provided for the renovation and beautification of the pond in Beetan and Rs 1.14 crore for the construction of the panchayat bhawan, and construction work will start soon. The land for the panchayat bhawan has been transferred in the name of the panchayat.
Congratulating Chaudhary Sports Club Beetan and the local residents for the excellent organization, he said that the labor and dedication shown by the people of Beetan in developing this ground is commendable. He also announced to give Rs 1 lakh encouragement amount to the club from the Prof. Simmi Agnihotri Foundation.
Tribute to Martyrs
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister honored the families of the brave martyrs of the area and paid them obeisance. He honored the families of Beetan’s immortal martyr Kulwinder Beetan, martyr Ramesh Lal Beetan, martyr Buta Singh, martyr Hardyal Singh, and martyr Paramjit Singh.Club president Vijay Baba said that in this All India cricket competition held from February 11 to 14, 42 teams from across the country participated. The winning team was given Rs 2 lakh in cash, while prizes including tractor, bike, and other attractive awards were given to players for excellent performance.
The program was attended by SDM Vishal Sharma, DSP Mohan Rawat, OSD to Deputy Chief Minister Dhanbir Thakur and Vikrant Thakur, security officer Binni Minhas, BDO Mukesh Kumar, Rajnish Sharma, along with club officials Kamaljit, Jagdish, Tilak, Suresh, Satpal Chad, Balu Ram Beetan, Sanjeev Baba, Ram Fauji, Rakesh Beetan, and Raj Master, besides a large number of local residents
