12 of 16 complaints resolved on the spot; CM says public service must remain the core of governance
Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini reaffirmed that public service lies at the heart of good governance, directing officials to ensure that every citizen visiting a government office leaves with dignity and satisfaction. He said prompt, transparent, and sensitive grievance redressal is not just an administrative duty but a moral responsibility.
The Chief Minister was presiding over the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting in Gurugram. The meeting was attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Smt. Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Sh. Tejpal Tanwar, and Gurugram MLA Sh. Mukesh Sharma.
A total of 16 complaints were taken up during the session, out of which 12 were resolved on the spot, while directions were issued to present detailed reports on the four remaining cases in the next meeting. The Chief Minister instructed officers to maintain accountability and ensure timely resolution of citizens’ concerns.
Swift Justice Through ‘Samadhan Shivir’
Highlighting the government’s emphasis on speedy and accessible redressal, Sh. Saini said that ‘Samadhan Shivir’ camps are being regularly organized on Mondays and Thursdays across districts and sub-divisions. So far, around 40,000 complaints have been received, with nearly 30,000 resolved successfully.
He added that of the 1.42 lakh complaints received directly by him, 1.35 lakh have been disposed of. The Chief Minister also noted that grievances on the CM Window portal are being resolved expeditiously, except in cases that are sub judice or involve family disputes.
Inquiry Ordered Against Jatoli Mandi PACS Manager
Taking serious note of a complaint from Chhilarki village in Pataudi area, the Chief Minister ordered a detailed inquiry against the manager of Jatoli Mandi PACS. The complaint alleged irregularities in fertilizer distribution and misbehavior with farmers. Sh. Saini directed officers to ensure a fair and impartial probe and submit a report to the Deputy Commissioner at the earliest.
Dhanwapur Underpass Repair to Be Completed in 15 Days
Addressing public concerns over waterlogging and seepage at the Dhanwapur railway underpass, the Chief Minister directed departments to complete repair work within 15 days to ease public inconvenience. He also instructed officials to take preventive measures to avoid recurrence of the issue.
Directions to Improve Sewerage, Sanitation and Power Infrastructure
Emphasizing citizen convenience as a top priority, Sh. Saini directed the Municipal Corporation to ensure there are no broken sewer covers or overflow incidents and to strengthen cleanliness drives and waste management systems. He also asked the power department to remove electric poles obstructing roads or pathways to ensure smooth and safe public movement.
Joint Demarcation to Curb Encroachments in Gwalapahari
The Chief Minister took serious note of illegal encroachments on green belt land in Gwalapahari village and directed the Public Works Department and Municipal Corporation to conduct joint demarcation to ascertain the factual position before taking action. He warned that encroachments on government land, particularly green belts meant for public use, will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken in verified cases.
Reiterating his government’s people-first approach, Sh. Saini said every reform, inspection, and directive is aimed at ensuring accessible, accountable, and citizen-centric governance in Haryana.
