Ludhiana, June 1
Three people, including father-son duo, were killed in gas leak incidence reported at the tool manufacturing factory in the city. The incident took place at around 2 am today when all the three were cleaning store-kind of structure at the factory.
Family of the deceased alleged that they were not told about death of their family members. Only when the father-son, identified as Maan Singh and Amit, did not reach house in the morning today at around 10 am, the family reached factory looking for them. They were told that Maan Singh and Amit have been admitted to hospital. When the family reached hospital they came to know that the father and son have died.
SDM Jasleen Bhullar and DCP Harpal Singh reached the spot to see into the matter. Talking to media persons she said that three have been killed and two have been injured. The injured are undergoing treatment at Mohan Dai Oswal Hospital. She said that the teams of Municipal Corporation Bathinda and Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) teams have been deputed to investigate the matter with police. She added that the factory owner will also be questioned for not informing about incidence to administration on time.
