Commission sets expenditure limits for candidates contesting for President and Member posts
Rohtak, April 21
Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Sachin Gupta stated that, as per the directions of the Haryana State Election Commission, general, police and expenditure observers have been appointed to ensure that the Sampla Municipal Committee General Elections–2026 are conducted in a free, fair, and smooth manner.
Sachin Gupta informed that citizens can also obtain information regarding the municipal elections by contacting officials of the Haryana State Election Commission. For this purpose, they may contact the office of State Election Commissioner Devender Singh Kalyan at 0172-2584904, the office of Commission Secretary Gaurav Kumar at 0172-2574810 or mobile number 70271-86060, and the office of Assistant State Election Commissioner Anju Arora at 0172-2584908 or mobile numbers 77196-55345 and 95636-55190.He further stated that the Haryana State Election Commission has appointed Naveen Kumar Ahuja, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Citizen Resources Information Officer, Yamunanagar, as General Observer; Faisal Khan, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sirsa, as Police Observer; and Hanish Gupta, Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner, Rohtak, as Expenditure Observer.
All these observers will arrive at the local Circuit House from April election-related. Sachin Gupta added that the district administration has appointed Jogendra Singh Mor, SDO of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Sampla (9354726617), as Nodal Officer (Complaints) for the prompt redressal of election-related grievances. He appealed to the public to contact the concerned nodal officer for any complaints or information related to the election process. All complaints will be resolved on priority.Box:Expenditure Limits Fixed for President and Member Candidates:The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer stated that the Haryana State Election Commission has fixed expenditure limits for candidates contesting in the municipal elections. The expenditure limit for the President post is ₹12,50,000, and for Member posts it is ₹3,00,000. All candidates are required to maintain a daily record of election expenses from the date of filing nomination papers until the date of declaration of results.
