State-level Bilaspur Nalwari Fair From March 17 to 23

State-Level Nalwari Fair 2026 – a historically and culturally significant fest for the Bilaspur District – will be held this year from March 17 to 23.The district administration has begun preparations to ensure the successful and well-organised conduct of the fair.In this regard, the first preliminary meeting to assess preparedness was held under the chairmanship of DC Rahul Kumar.

He said that the administration is working round the cloxk to make the fair attractive, grand and beneficial for the public.

Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar directed the formation of separate committees for cultural programs, sports competitions, the cattle fair, exhibitions, traffic management and all other events.

He instructed all concerned officials to ensure the formation of these committees within 15 days, after which another review meeting will be held soon. Suggestions were invited from all officials to make the fair even more attractive.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that, along with cultural activities, wrestling, state-level, and district-level sports competitions will be a special attraction at the fair.

The meeting also emphasised that cultural programs should cater to the entertainment of all sections of society, and that promoting the folk culture, traditions, and cultural heritage of Bilaspur should be given priority.

Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar also informed the meeting that a special logo will be created for this year’s State-level Nalwari Fair.

He said that a competition will be organised for logo design, and the participant who creates the most attractive and suitable logo will be awarded a prize by the administration.

The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the general public to submit their positive and constructive suggestions to the Assistant Commissioner’s office to make the State-level Nalwari Fair 2026 memorable and successful.He clarified that this is the first preliminary meeting, and several more meetings related to the organisation of the fair will be held in the coming days so that all arrangements can be finalised promptly.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Sandeep Dhawal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Om Kant Thakur, Assistant Commissioner Rajkumar, and officers from all departments.
