Mohali, May 13
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) on Wednesday declared the Class 12 examination results for 2026. A total of 2,65,417 students appeared for the examination, out of which 2,42,755 students passed. The overall pass percentage is 91.46%.
Girls secured the top positions in this year’s merit list. Supneet Kaur from Gurukul Academy Public School, Mansa, topped the state with a perfect score of 500 out of 500. The second position was secured by Sohani Chohan of BCM Public Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, while Divanshi from Teja Singh Swatantra Memorial School, Shimlapuri, Ludhiana, secured the third position. Both students also scored a perfect 500 out of 500 marks.
Supneet Kaur belongs to the Science stream, while Sohani Chohan and Divanshi are from the Humanities stream. All three students are also sportspersons. The humanities stream state toppers are Sohani Chohan – 500/500, Divanshi – 500/500 and Afreen Azim from Play Way School, Patiala – 499/500. Similarly the science stream toppers are Supneet Kaur – 500/500, Tarannum Kaur from Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Kapurthala – 498/500 and Simran Tiwadi from Teja Singh Swatantra Memorial School, Ludhiana – 497/500. Patiala recorded the highest number of merit holders with 58 students, followed by Ludhiana with 39 and Amritsar with 27 students in the merit list.
Students can check their results by visiting the official website of the Punjab School Education Board www.pseb.ac.in. On the homepage, click on the Class 12 Result link, enter the roll number and name, and submit the details to view the scorecard. Students can also download or print their result for future reference. Students facing issues while checking their results can contact the education department helpline at 95491-61161 for assistance.
