110 students and NCC cadets participate in Civil Defence training programme

A Civil Defence training programme was successfully organized at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Sonipat, with enthusiastic participation from around 110 students and NCC cadets. The programme aimed to equip youth and citizens with essential skills related to disaster management and emergency response.


City Magistrate and Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Sonipat, Simran, said that training programmes of this nature are essential for preparedness against emergencies and disasters. She informed that participants were given detailed information regarding the responsibilities of Civil Defence, discipline, teamwork and the spirit of social service.
She said that trained citizens act as strong support for both society and the administration during any disaster or crisis situation.

The training programme focused on creating awareness about disaster management, first aid, fire safety, knot-tying techniques and relief and rescue operations during emergency situations
Participants actively engaged in the programme and expressed their interest in joining similar training initiatives in the future.

Store Superintendent Sandeep Kumar said that Civil Defence is not merely a training programme but an important medium of service towards the nation and society. He appealed to youth and citizens to join Civil Defence training in greater numbers so that effective assistance can be provided during disasters and emergencies.
