Awards to Be Presented in Six Categories Including Bravery, Sports, Social Service and Science & Technology

Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh has informed that the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, has invited nominations for the Prime Minister’s National Child Award 2026 from eligible children across the country. The last date for submitting nominations and applications for the prestigious award is July 31, 2026.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the award recognizes children who have demonstrated exceptional achievements at a young age and have emerged as an inspiration for society through their outstanding contributions in various fields. She stated that the Prime Minister’s National Child Award is presented in six categories—Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Arts and Culture and Science and Technology.

Neha Singh informed that children between the ages of 5 and 18 years are eligible for nomination. Applications can be submitted either by the children themselves or through their parents, schools, institutions, or any individual who wishes to nominate a deserving candidate. All nominations and applications are to be submitted online through the National Awards Portal. Interested applicants can complete the process by visiting the portal at https://awards.gov.in.

The Deputy Commissioner urged eligible children and their guardians to take advantage of the opportunity and submit nominations within the stipulated deadline. For further details and assistance, district residents may contact the District Office of the Women and Child Development Department.
