Haryana Government has constituted the State Samiti for the implementation of the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) to strengthen agricultural development and ensure effective fund utilization across the state.
The State Samiti will be chaired by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, while the Administrative Secretary of the Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Department will serve as the Member Secretary. Key administrative secretaries from departments such as fisheries, irrigation, cooperation, animal Husbandry and dairying, industries, development and panchayat and rural development will serve as members.
The committee also includes Vice-Chancellors of all state agriculture, horticulture, veterinary and fisheries universities in Haryana, along with representatives from NABARD and the State Level Banker’s Committee (SLBC).
According to the government notification, the primary responsibility of the State DDKY Samiti is to ensure adequate flow of funds to all schemes operating in project mode within selected districts. The Samiti will oversee timely release of funds and facilitate seamless coordination among participating departments. While district-level plans will focus on agricultural inputs and production activities, the State Samiti will emphasize marketing, branding, and value addition of agri-produce from these regions.
The committee will also conduct periodic reviews to monitor implementation progress, fill field-level positions and ensure that funds are disbursed without delays. It will further ensure that the annual departmental plans are integrated with the overall annual plans of their respective schemes before the start of each financial year.
