Youth’s Future Insecure Without Punjab’s Economic Revival: Ajay Pal Singh Brar

Mohali, June11

The President of the Misl Satluj organization, Ajay Pal Singh Brar, stated today that Punjab is currently grappling with severe economic challenges. He warned that if these issues are not addressed timely, future generations could face terrible consequences.

Brar shared that decades ago, the great thinker and renowned Sikh scholar, Sardar Kapur Singh, had warned Punjabis that if the Punjab failed to protect its economic resources, trade, industry, and employment opportunities, a time would come when Punjabis would be forced to work under others in their own land. “Today’s circumstances seem to be proving that warning true,” Brar added.

Expressing concern over the brain drain, Brar pointed out that a large number of Punjab’s youth are migrating abroad in search of employment. He cautioned that if foreign doors close in the future, the youth of Punjab would be left with highly limited job prospects. Therefore, strengthening Punjab’s economy, promoting local industries, and creating effective employment opportunities for the youth is the ultimate need of the hour. He further emphasized that an economically weak society can never be politically or socially strong. Punjab urgently requires a new economic policy rooted in its agriculture, industry, and natural resources to prevent the state from slipping into economic subjugation. Brar appealed to the people of Punjab, especially the youth, to come forward for the economic reconstruction and self-reliance of the state, urging collective efforts to secure Punjab’s future.
