Airplane models’ daring aerial stunts captivated spectators at the Civil Aviation Club during the Patiala Heritage Festival-2026

As part of the festival’s events on Sangrur Road, pilots flew model airplanes executing loops, rolls, spins, low passes, wing overs, knife edges, and other maneuvers that mesmerized the audience. The Cessna-206’s special flight showered petals, while remote control cars’ stunts added extra thrill.

Chief Guest’s Address
Samana MLA Chetan Singh Jouramajra, as chief guest, congratulated the district administration and noted the Punjab Government’s ongoing efforts to preserve the state’s rich heritage. He urged students to join the anti-drug campaign led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Officer’s Remarks
Aero Modeling Nodal Officer and A.D.C. (G) Simarpreet Kaur praised Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia’s team for the event’s success. She thanked Captain Harpreet Singh of Patiala Aviation Club, Patiala Aeromodelling Association, Fairwind Aviation Ludhiana, and Punjab R.C. Hobbies Ludhiana. Kaur highlighted Patiala’s heritage as an example of communal harmony and sectarian unity showcased by the festival.

Captain S.S. Hara from Fairwind Aviation Ludhiana displayed Cessna 206 stunts with paper flower showers. Shivraj Singh Dimpy Ghumman, President of Aero Modeling Club Patiala, flew a Piper Cub 88-inch wingspan model with loops, rolls, spins, and wing overs; his grandson, V.P.S. student Mankaran Singh, flew a Tundra Cub model showing similar feats. Naminder Singh Bhogal from Ludhiana flew a boomerang; XEN Harsimran Singh Harry of PSPCL flew Climax; Karan Singla showed drone X8 and 4 models; 12-year-old Subheg Singh from Ludhiana displayed Three in One Sky Surfer and helicopter skills. Manish Kumar from Chandigarh flew Dancer Glider; Gaurav flew Piker model; Manreet Singh flew M.F.S. Jet; Tanik from Ludhiana flew Aero R.C.; Supreet Singh flew Sky Surfer; Birinder Singh flew a helicopter; Jagdeep Kapil from Karnal flew an engine-powered helicopter model.
RC Demonstrations
Punjab R.C. Hobbies Ludhiana members Birinder Singh, Arunpreet Singh, and Supreet Singh showcased Citroen Electric, Delta Wing, Willys Military Jeep, R.C. Rubicon, R.C. Bike Lessi Brand, Rock Slide, and Arma Mojave remote control cars and motorcycle models.

Static Displays and More
Sarpanch Sukhcharan Singh Nikka Brar of Punjab Paragliding Association displayed a para glider alongside models like Super Hots, eSport, Harbor Air, Climax Low Wing, and Cub. Parked aircraft included Cessna 172 and Tecnam Multiengine from Patiala Aviation Club, plus Liar, Pushpak, and Hansa from Punjab Aircraft Maintenance Engineering College. An I.T.B.P. contingent performed a march past led by Platoon Commander S.I. Jagrup.
