Thousands of players and citizens to participate in yoga camps at sports stadiums and nurseries

As part of the preparations for the 12th International Yoga Day, the Sports Department will organise a five-day Yoga Protocol Training Programme across Sonipat district from May 27 to May 31.
The yoga training camps will be conducted at various sports stadiums and sports nurseries in the district with the objective of promoting yoga among players, youth and the general public while encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
District Sports Officer Manoj Kumar said the programme aims to create awareness about yoga and provide practical training in different yoga practices and protocols. During the camps, trained yoga experts will guide participants on yoga postures, pranayama, meditation and various aspects related to healthy living.
He said extensive preparations are underway at the district level for International Yoga Day and participation of thousands of players, students and citizens will be ensured through the training programme.
The initiative is aimed at taking yoga to the masses and promoting healthy lifestyle practices through structured and practical learning sessions organised by the Sports Department.
