On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, Chief Minister Haryana Nayab Singh Saini today virtually launched an essay writing competition across schools in the state highlighting the unprecedented sacrifice by younger sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji namely Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. Thousands of students joined the program online and interacted with the Chief Minister.
This initiative is becoming a medium to spread the message of the immortal martyrdom, courage, and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh to every household. CM said that the competition was being held in Hindi, English, Punjabi and Sanskrit. “The more we read and learn about the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas, the stronger and clearer we become about our own goals. This competition, being organized in four languages — Hindi, English, Punjabi, and Sanskrit — provides students an opportunity to showcase their talent,” said the Chief Minister.
Paying tribute to the bravery of the younger Sahibzadas, the Chief Minister said, “The courage shown at the ages of nine and six teaches us that great responsibilities can be fulfilled even at a young age. Every student should move forward with courage, integrity, and strong values.
