Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Harmeet Singh Kalka announced that the education expenses of children from families who are fully Amritdhari will be borne by DSGMC. He stated that this decision is a major step towards strengthening the Sikh identity, Gurmat values and connecting the young generation more firmly with the Sikh faith.
Harmeet Singh Kalka further informed that on the auspicious occasion of Khalsa Sajna Divas, a grand Amrit Sanchar event will be organized on April 13 at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall located at Gurdwara Sri Rakabganj Sahib. During this sacred event, those Amritdhari families who have adopted the dignified Sikh way of life will be specially honored.
He appealed to the Sangat to take Amrit through Khande di Pahul, become Amritdhari, and mold their lives in accordance with Gurmat by following the path shown by the Guru Sahiban. He also shared that regular Amrit Sanchar ceremonies are held every Sunday at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib and every Wednesday at Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib, where the Sangat can partake of Amrit with ease.
Harmeet Singh Kalka expressed confidence that this initiative by DSGMC will further strengthen new awareness, religious awakening, and deep devotion to Sikhism within the Sikh community, and will serve as an inspiration for the young generation.
