-Challans issued to people littering near the Railway Station, Amrik Road, and Tinkoni

Under the special Mission Clean Punjab campaign being carried out to make the state cleaner, cleanliness drives are being conducted in different parts of the city as per the directions of Local Government Minister Harjot Singh Bains. Sharing this information, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Lovjeet Kalsi said that special cleaning operations are being carried out in areas where people frequently dump garbage on vacant plots.
These areas include the front of the Class IV employees’ quarters at Civil Station, the surroundings of the Pracheen Shiv Temple, the area near Bhagu Road Park, Bhagu Road and other locations, where cleaning has already been completed. Sweeping and cleaning work is also continuing in other parts of the city.
In addition, teams of the Municipal Corporation are continuously visiting shops and homes to raise public awareness about cleanliness and encourage residents to maintain hygienic surroundings. Today, Municipal Corporation Zone 3 teams issued challans to people found littering near the Railway Station, Amrik Road and Tinkoni. Citizens were also advised to hand over their waste only to sanitation workers and not to throw garbage on roads.
