–Out of 172 villages in Rohtak circle, 142 villages are getting 24-hour power supply
–Work continues in the remaining villages under the Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon scheme
– Citizens can take full advantage of the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta stated that the Rohtak district administration was continuously striving to provide uninterrupted power supply to citizens. The North Haryana Power Distribution Corporation has strengthened power supply in 142 of the 172 villages in the Rohtak circle, providing 24-hour power supply. Work has been completed in ten villages, and 16-hour power supply is continuing. Similarly, efforts are underway to strengthen power supply in the remaining 20 villages.
Sachin Gupta was reviewing the implementation of power supply and other schemes in the district by the North Haryana Power Distribution Corporation at the local camp office in the monthly review meeting. He said that the officials should prepare an action plan to start 24-hour power supply in remaining villages and implement it. He said that the corporation is continuing work in seven villages of Rohtak circle namely Bhaini Chandrapal, Saiman, Bhaini Surjan, Kharkada, Mungan and Asan and Chhara.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that necessary steps have been taken to illuminate eight villages of Rohtak circle namely Ritauli, Kabulpur, Dhamad, Khidwali, Makdauli Kala and Khurd, Garhi and Rohad under the Jagmag Yojana, while work will be done under the Jagmag Yojana in five villages namely Titauli, Nindaana, Kiloi Khas and Dopana and Sanghi. He said that the corporation should prepare an action plan and work should be done to declare the remaining villages as Jagmag under the Jagmag Yojana.
Sachin Gupta urged the district’s citizens to take full advantage of the government’s Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Under this scheme, the central government is providing a grant of ₹78,000 for installing solar rooftop systems on homes. This grant provides a subsidy of up to ₹60,000 for the first 2 kilowatts, at the rate of ₹30,000 per kilowatt. An additional ₹18,000 for installing the next 1 kilowatt, or 2 to 3 kilowatts, is provided. This means a maximum subsidy of ₹78,000 is provided under this scheme. In addition to the central government grant, the state government will provide a grant of up to ₹50,000 to 100,000 poor families for installing solar rooftop systems. This subsidy will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that beneficiaries having annual income up to Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand and annual consumption of maximum 2400 units will be given a subsidy of up to Rs 60 thousand up to 2 kilowatt by the central government and a subsidy of Rs 50 thousand up to 2 kilowatt by the state government. In this, there will be free production of up to 300 units on an average monthly. Similarly, beneficiaries having annual income of Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand to Rs 3 lakh and annual consumption of maximum 2400 units will be given a subsidy of up to Rs 60 thousand up to 2 kilowatt by the central government and an additional subsidy of Rs 20 thousand up to 2 kilowatt by the state government and there will be free production of up to 300 units on an average monthly.
On this occasion, Superintendent Engineer of North Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation Bijendra Narwal, Executive Engineer Anil Nagar, Ramendra Malik and Seema Nara were present.
