Harmeet Singh Kalka congratulates students
New Delhi June 2
The President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, today congratulated students participating in the fifth Gurmat camps in a special message issued on the commencement of the programme. He also praised the Dharam Prachar Committee of DSGMC for its dedicated efforts and meticulous arrangements to ensure the camps’ success.
In his message, Kalka said the youth are the future of the Sikh community and the nation. He emphasized that connecting younger generations with the rich heritage of Sikhism, the teachings of Gurbani, and their religious roots remains a primary objective of the DSGMC. He noted that Gurmat camps serve not only as centres of religious learning but also as platforms for instilling discipline, selfless service, mutual respect, unity, and social responsibility. Kalka added that in today’s rapidly evolving world it is essential to acquaint children with Gurmukhi, Gurbani, and Sikh history so they remain connected to their faith and cultural identity. He described the Gurmat camps as an effective initiative for nurturing spiritually aware and socially responsible future generations.
As in previous years, DSGMC, in collaboration with partner organizations, is organizing Gurmat camps across Delhi and in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The concluding event and final camp will be held on June 20–21, 2026, at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall, Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, New Delhi.
