Haryana Bans New Diesel, Petrol Vehicles in Aggregator Fleets from 2026

Chandigarh, December 10

In a major step toward cleaner transport, the Haryana government has decided that no new diesel- or petrol-run vehicles will be allowed to join the fleets of cab aggregators, delivery service providers, or e-commerce companies from January 1, 2026.

According to the amended Aggregator Policy 2024, approved by the state cabinet under Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the rule applies to two-wheelers, four-wheeler Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs), and Light Goods Vehicles (LGVs) with a capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes.

The move aligns with the directions of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), which aims to reduce vehicular pollution and promote CNG and electric vehicles across the National Capital Region (NCR). Going forward, only CNG or electric three-wheelers can be added to aggregator fleets.

To ensure effective monitoring, the state’s Transport Department is developing a Clean Mobility Portal, where all licensed operator vehicles will be registered. The state government says this initiative will help curb air pollution in NCR areas adjoining Haryana and encourage a faster shift toward sustainable mobility.
