Fatehabad, Dec 12

The much-awaited MP Sports Festival of the Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency has now reached its grand and final stage. On Saturday, December 13, the grand finale will take place at MM College, Fatehabad, with a magnificent closing ceremony. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will be as the chief guest and felicitate the winning players. The program will be presided over by Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala.

On Friday, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Subhash Barala visited the venue to review the preparations for the grand finale. He thoroughly inspected the main stage, sports grounds, seating arrangements for players and spectators, media gallery, parking, and other administrative and technical arrangements. The MP instructed officials to ensure that all arrangements are completed smoothly, safely, and in a well-organized manner.

MP Subhash Barala stated that the MP Sports Festival, launched across the country at the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, aims to inspire youth with energy, discipline, fitness, and a positive direction through sports. In the Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency, this festival has been organized in three phases — block, assembly, and parliamentary levels. He informed that since registration began on August 29, around 40,000 players from the Sirsa parliamentary area have applied for participation in various sports. The block-level competitions commenced on September 21 from Damkaura village. Subsequently, various sports events were successfully held across all blocks and assembly constituencies of the region. The teams and players who emerged victorious at the assembly level will now compete in the final matches at the parliamentary-level grand finale.

In this large-scale parliamentary-level competition, about 4,000 players will showcase their talent across different sports categories.

MP Barala said that the MP Sports Festival is not just a sports event, but an inspiring campaign aimed at channeling the youth power in the right direction. Such initiatives enhance players’ confidence and elevate the spirit of sportsmanship to new heights. He added that thousands of youngsters from the Sirsa Lok Sabha region have showcased their skills on this platform, and this festival will prove to be a milestone in nurturing new sports talent in the coming years.
